(2 years ago)So I have done an extremely stupid thing and I have adopted two cats I cannot afford to take care of. The small pet shelter I volunteer at was getting overcrowded and with lack of funds (I live in a small conservative town where people view donating as laziness) the shelter has decided to euthanize sick pets since they have a low chance of getting adopted and there is no money to cure them. So I, your village’s broke idiot, decided to adopt these two goddamn cats I have grown attached to.
Their names are Stripes and Oreo (I know, very original) and they are the sweetest smol beans and I love them so much. Unfortunately, they are both sick and I do not have enough money to treat them. I have just started college this year and you know how college can be draining especially when there is nobody supporting you; I have already sold two of my most importants textbooks to be able to buy food and supplies for these two adorable suckers who have me making horrible life choices.
Oreo has an ear infection and she also needs to be spayed, I already have enough money to afford her anti fungal medication from selling my two textbooks but I need money for her spaying which costs about 90 $. As for Stripes, he needs about 67$ for a vet visit that will include a diagnostic check, vaccinations and deworming since he is still a kitten.
So I need exactly 157 $ to treat these cats and I would be eternally grateful if you guys could donate a couple of dollars each so we can reach that goal. If you want I can even make you a small bracelet or write you a poem in return please.
I know im stupid for adopting these cats when I knew I couldnt afford their treatment but it was either this or be euthanized with the other 45 pets who met that fate last week. Please if you cannot donate reblog and boost this I will be grateful and I can make you a bracelet or a poem in return if you want. Please do it for Oreo and stripes. I’ve made a paypal its : allieroseka@gmail.com

(2 years ago)Asking for help is not something I’m very good at. Especially when it comes to financial help. But, my best friend Pond had recently been diagnosed with liver problems. I have done all I could and exhaust every resources I have on hand and it’s still not enough. He’s only one year old and I’m definitely not ready to loose him just yet.
If you could, please help donate on ‘Help Save Pond’ fundrazr page and if you can’t, please help reblog as much as you can.
Guy please spread the word. Even if there’s a snowball’s chance of saving my friend’s cat. Pond is currently staying at the vet and was diagnosed with Jaundice. His health is declining and my friend needs all the help she could get. The medical bill costs around 750USD
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND CLICK HERE LINK FOR HER FUNDRAISING PAGE
Every donation and reblog counts. there’s not much time and we fear that, if nott treated properly, the worst may come for Pond. PLEASE HELP

Otter just can’t stay up any longer…

“I don’t feel good about it. It will bother me for the rest of my life and honestly I’m happy about that. I’m embarrassed by how little I knew. I was a kid from Texas. I flew on a plane for the first time when I went to boot camp. I had this visceral desire to seek vengeance for 9/11, and I believed our government when they told me that there was a connection to Iraq. So I fully supported the war. I thought we were bringing bad people to justice. I didn’t understand the nuances. I didn’t know anything about the people of Iraq, or the culture, or the country. And I feel ashamed about that. I’m getting my graduate degree in Middle Eastern history right now. And the more I learn, the worse I feel. I got so much personal benefit from being in the military. In many ways it was the greatest thing I’ve ever done. But I could have gotten those personal benefits from other means. I was in Iraq for one year. And the trauma of that year will impact me for the rest of my life. But for the people of Iraq, it’s been ten years. And they’re still being traumatized on a daily basis.”
